Lo Triolet

Wine estate

Pinot Grigio the emblematic wine of Lo Triolet.

The first planting of this variety took place in 1988, with the aim of replanting the family’s old vineyards by introducing an early-ripening grape that could ensure optimal maturation even at the 800-900 meter altitude of the municipality of Introd.

The choice of Pinot Grigio was crucial for the winery’s development, as it immediately garnered great interest from wine enthusiasts from the very first vintage. Since then, Lo Triolet has grown and now offers a wide range of labels, including white wines, red wines, and sweet wines.

The Vineyard
and its cultivation

The Territory

The sandy, morainic-origin soils have a strong mineral component
The wines, savory, fresh, and elegant, reflect the essence of the mountain terroir.

During the ripening phase, the grapes experience a significant temperature variation, which enhances their aromatic profile.

Winter

With pruning, you choose “lo brot”, the branch that provides us with the production of the vintage and “lo poudzo”, the reserve that guarantees the future of the vine. By tying, we secure the main branch to the supporting wire.

Spring

Towards the end of April, stimulated by milder temperatures, the buds open and within a short time you can catch a glimpse of the inflorescences that will give us the first indication of the production potential for the year. It is important to leave only the shoots that interest us on the vine in order to have the right production and balanced development of the plant.

Summer

Thanks to the heat of the sun, the vines grow very quickly; it is important to keep the vines tidy along the rows and ensure proper ventilation in the cluster area. If the production is excessive, thinning is carried out. The agronomic management of the vineyards prefers the use of organic fertilizers, following the principles of integrated pest management respecting the environment and the product.

Autumn

The climate of this season is crucial. Deciding the time of the harvest is not easy because the vintages are always different from each other: sometimes you have to anticipate to preserve acidity and aromas, other times you have to wait for the grapes to reach an optimal level of ripeness to express themselves to the maximum.

The Winery: From Grape to Bottle

The winery is the place where grapes are transformed into wine.

Our mission is to preserve the highest quality of the grapes we have carefully nurtured throughout the season while respecting the intrinsic characteristics of the product.

Technology supports us, but it is our ideas, experience, and sensitivity that shape the character of each wine.

White wines, red wines, sweet wines

The range of wines is quite wide.

On the one hand, the Aosta Valley territory – with its variety of land, exposures and altitudes – allows the cultivation of different vines; on the other, the desire to experiment involves the planting of new vines and therefore the production of numerous labels.

The important awards achieved over the years, and above all the appreciation from our customers, suggest that we are working in the right direction and encourage us to further improve our work, both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
